Josh Levine is the Founder and Principal of Dark Horse Family Office Consulting, LLC. With a career spanning four decades working alongside some of the world's most complex families, Josh brings a depth of perspective that is both broad in scope and grounded in direct accountability. His work with these families began in the estate planning and business succession space, where he spent fifteen years developing a deep understanding of the complexity, dynamics, and expectations that define UHNW family life.

Prior to his move into the family office space, Josh spent six years at Legacy Advisors, LLC, one of the region's leading planning advisory firms, where he served as a trusted advisor to many of the firm's most prominent families.

While at Legacy, Josh was recruited to serve as Managing Partner of an established family office platform, where he gained direct operational and leadership experience across the full spectrum of family office design, governance, and client delivery. Based on that experience, he founded Cornerstone Family Office in 2013, a boutique, fee-only multi-family office that provided wealth administration and concierge services for a select group of highly successful families. He built, led, and successfully exited Cornerstone via a sale to Trove. Following that transaction, Josh stayed on as Partner and Managing Director, where he played an instrumental role in helping to build the firm into one of the largest and most sophisticated independent multi-family office platforms in the country.

That experience, spanning direct client advisory work, firm leadership, entrepreneurship, and operating at institutional scale, ultimately led Josh to a simple but powerful conclusion: the most meaningful way to continue serving the families he had dedicated his career to was not to serve them directly, but to help build a wider range of sophisticated platforms capable of meeting their needs. It was the only path he could identify to have a truly meaningful impact on the space, one family office at a time.

Josh continues to serve as a trustee for a number of former client families. He has served on multiple corporate and nonprofit boards, including as a trustee and former Alumni Association President at The Haverford School, and has been a featured speaker at industry events throughout his career. An avid golfer and equestrian enthusiast, Josh is a graduate of Gettysburg College and a lifelong resident of Philadelphia's Main Line, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
